Q1 How to apply for on-campus and off-campus scholarships?

1. Application path: NCU Homepage (upper right) Portal → Student Services → Living Assistance Services → Scholarship and Part-time Job Management System (URL https://cis.ncu.edu.tw/Scholarship)

2. For applications submitted "by the school," please follow the system login steps for online registration, download the specific application form for each scholarship, and submit it to the Student Living Assistance Division as per regulations to complete the application process.

3. Approximately 150 types of on-campus and off-campus scholarships are announced each semester. Information is updated regularly; welcome to search online.

 

Q2 How to find scholarships I can apply for?

ANS: In "Student Zone - Scholarships," you can browse various scholarships in a list view or search by keywords (e.g., household registration location, department).

 

Q3 How to check application status?

ANS: In "Student Zone - Scholarships - Query Personal Scholarship Records," you can view the current status (e.g., applying, admitted, not admitted).

 

Q4 How to apply for a certificate of unreceived scholarships?

ANS: Apply online in "Student Zone - Scholarships - Apply for Certificate of Unreceived Other Scholarships." Bring the scholarship application form to this division for stamping, or this division will print the certificate of unreceived scholarships for you.

 

Q5 How to receive scholarships?

ANS: Please register your post office account: portal - Student Services - Student Academic Performance Services - Student Academic Performance - Student Enrollment - Confirm - Modify Other Information.

 

Q6 What does a poverty certificate include?

1. E.g.: Low-income certificate, middle-to-low income certificate, children of families in special circumstances, neighborhood chief's poverty certificate, etc.

2. Submit according to the regulations of each scholarship program.

3. Those with low-income or middle-to-low income certificates are not required to submit income and property statements. If external scholarships have other regulations, those will apply.

 

Q7 How to apply for income and property statements?

1. To apply for various income or property tax statements, please bring your original national ID card. If entrusting someone else to apply, the authorized person must bring their original national ID card, along with the original power of attorney or authorization letter and the principal's original national ID card, and apply at a nearby National Tax Administration office.

2. For on-campus scholarship applications, only income and property statements for the father + mother + applicant are required. (Reference values: annual income below NT$700,000, interest below NT$20,000, real estate below NT$6,500,000)

3. Please call your nearest National Tax Administration office for detailed application procedures and required documents.

 

☆How to sign a contract for off-campus housing? What are the required and prohibited terms for standard housing lease agreements?

☆Lost and Found Claim Procedure?

After the owner confirms their item in the photos on the announcement page, bring identification to the Military Training Office to sign and retrieve it.

 

☆When does the school hold annual lost and found charity (auction) events?

Lost and found charity (auction) events for the previous year's items are held annually in January and July. Relevant information is announced on the Military Training Office and NCU homepage, as well as on the Facebook pages of various departments in student dormitories.

 

☆If property is lost at school and surveillance footage needs to be reviewed, how to apply?

If the item is lost on campus roads or plazas, apply to the Campus Police; within various venues, apply to the respective venue management; within dormitories, apply to the Dormitory Management Center.

 

☆How to handle situations involving fraud?

1. Please retain relevant evidence (phone numbers, remittance records, etc.).

2. Immediately call the 165 anti-fraud hotline to report the case.

3. Report to the school and file a police report.

 

☆What are the eligibility criteria for college and university students applying for the two-stage regular military service training?

1. Male citizens born in 1994 or later who are currently enrolled as first-year university students or third-year junior college students in Taiwan, abroad, or mainland China.

2. Male citizens born in 1996 who are approaching conscription age and meet the above conditions (their application for two-stage regular military service training is considered a voluntary early conscription processing) may also apply.

 

☆How do college and university students apply for the two-stage regular military service training?

1. Application time, location, and receiving unit: Before November 15 each year, the conscripted male or parent (or capable family member) should apply to the military service unit of the household registration's township (city/district) office. Late applications will not be accepted.

2. Required documents for application:

    (1). Photocopy of student ID (front and back) (or proof of enrollment) (must be authenticated for international or mainland China institutions).

    (2). Seals of the conscripted male and parent (legal guardian).

    (3). When entrusting a capable family member to apply, the principal's identification documents must be prepared.

 

☆I am a transfer student. I have taken the All-out Defense Education Military Training courses at NCU and also at my previous school. How do I apply for military service time reduction?

In addition to applying for the transcript from your current school, please apply for the transcript from your previous school. Then, bring both to your current school (NCU Military Training Office) to have the military service reduction stamp approved, if the reduction days have not yet been approved.

 

Frequently Asked Questions about Graduate Scholarships & Grants

Q1: Can I, as an in-service student, apply for graduate scholarships and grants?

ANS: Article 3 of the school's graduate scholarship and grant regulations states that full-time employees are not eligible to apply for scholarships and grants.

 

Q2: If I had a grade below 60 in one course last semester, can I apply for graduate scholarships and grants this semester?

ANS: A grade below 70 for graduate students is considered failing. If you failed a course last semester, you cannot apply for graduate scholarships and grants this semester.

 

Q3: If I had a grade below 60 in one course last semester, can I apply for graduate scholarships and grants this semester?

Leave Application

How to apply for student leave?

Through the portal, select Convenient Window/Service Counter (iNCU)/Student Affairs Zone/Leave Application to apply.

 

How should students apply for leave when taking collective leave to participate in off-campus competitions?

Submit relevant supporting documents (including a list of students) and apply for official leave online according to leave regulations.

 

Can leave be applied for retroactively?

According to Article 5 of the student leave regulations: Leave must be applied for in advance. Retroactive leave may be granted only due to serious illness and irresistible major accidents.

 

Which browsers does the leave system support?

Chrome, Microsoft Edge (Firefox, Safari are not supported).

 

If I apply for multiple consecutive days of leave spanning holidays, will the system automatically deduct regular holidays?

For multi-day leave, the system does not deduct regular holidays or national holidays. Students may consider applying in separate batches.

 

Will instructors be notified after the leave application is submitted for approval?

Instructors will only be notified after the leave application (application, cancellation) has been fully approved. If necessary, students can verbally or by email inform their instructors in advance.

 

Will students receive a notification after the leave application is approved?

Students will be notified once the leave application (application, cancellation) has been fully approved.

 

Can I apply for leave using a mobile phone or tablet?

It can be easily operated on mobile phones, tablets, and personal computers.

 

What if I submit the leave application, but the reason for leave no longer exists and I don't want to take leave?

Before the approval process is completed, you can click "Withdraw." If the entire approval process has been completed, you can click "Cancel."

 

What are the procedures for taking leave abroad?

Please fill out the leave form on the portal website. For leave requests of 4 days or more, please obtain prior approval from the Office of International Affairs.

 

What is the utility of Proof of leave?

As a certificate for leave, it can be provided to teachers to confirm the absence.

 

How can I apply for official leave?

Must have approval or signature of school administration or the activity manager.

 

The regulations of leave of absence application that the leave request should be known in advance as a class teacher. If the class teacher can't find the signature on the leave form, what should I do?

You can send an email or message to the teacher explaining the reason for your absence, and upload a screenshot of the message to the leave application system to apply for leave.
